To create an AmCAT account you go to https://amcat.nl. This brings you to the AmCAT login screen. You can create your AmCAT account by clicking on 'Create a new Account' (see yellow box Figure 2.1). You are presented with a registration form (see Figure 2.2). Fill out your username, first name, last name and email address. Select the language of your preferences and select AmCAT as the theme (default option). Next, you click the 'Register' button. You will be send an email with further instructions.

AmCAT will send you an email confirming your username and providing you with a password. Using this username and password, you can now login to AmCAT.
  
When you visit AmCAT the first time, you are greeted with the login screen showed in Figure 2.1. If you received a username from the administrator, you can use it here. If you installed your own server, it should have created a default user ’amcat’ with password ‘amcat’. If you don’t have an account, you can create a new account using the ‘Register’ button.

To change your password, you click on this arrow and select 'Account details" (see Figure 2.3). The new page shows you your user details. Click 'Change password', which you can find above 'Edit details'. Here, you enter your old password and new password. Click 'Change my password'. You can now login with the same username and your new password.

In order to use the AmCAT Navigator you need to create an AmCAT account.

Changing your AmCAT password
